Being prayed for by men of great faith.... it feels like a candle gets lit up in your heart for a moment.

last night i attempted to drive home about 10 miles in some of the thickest fog i have ever seen, and really took for granted the ability to see where you are driving. Going down a dark road in pea soup fog.... after a long rainstorm.... going really slow... all of a sudden a giant splash from running into a deep puddle. Then turning, and feeling like you are driving in a dark swamp because you can't see the road at all in front of you, having to use a GPS to figure out where your turn is because you can't see the turn until it's too late.

After making it to my parents' (half-way there to my house) I had two jolts-awake from crashing into puddles I couldn't see until i was in 'em, and at that point just said screw it, i'll spend the night at my parents and go home when i can see again.

Crazy december snowstorm. Could barely see my car after it was all said and done. Snow about up to my knees. Several hours worth of shoveling snow away from our driveway and my car. Adventure driving around the block right now.

Also heck of a time for my AC adapter on my cell phone to go dead - recharging it with a DC charger hooking it up to a jump starter.

So a couple weeks ago, I was running up the steps to try to catch the SEPTA train at the train station, and saw the train pulling away as I ran up the steps. Today I had about as close a call as I could possibly have. I got to the train station about 4 minutes before the scheduled departure time for my train, and ran up the steps to try to catch it, but the train hadn't arrived yet. So I ran back downstairs to buy an all-day pass so I wouldn't have to pay the more expensive price buying the ticket on the train... then ran back upstairs. Again, the train had not yet arrived. One guy told me he thought the train was gonna be 10-15 min late so I ran down to the bathroom really quick. Couldn't go, and after about 30 seconds, decided to forget it and ran back up to the train platform - and as I was running out the door onto the platform, the conductor was getting onto the train.

If I had spent another 15-30 seconds in the bathroom, probably would have missed the train. Well except that the train ride was unnerving 'cause I felt like I had to pee while on the train. :p

Ray Allen just had a layup slam dunk in the Celtics Wizards game. Sad, washington defense.... sad.

Saw an ad for cheesesteaktees today: "Jesus hates the Cowboys." Amen. :)

Route 141 is evil. In the past week, I have had a construction flagger jump out with a stop sign, forcing me and other drivers to slam on our brakes almost causing a big accident, then later on, my car slid on the road when it wasn't cold enough to be icy.... then today there was a 3 mile backup on the freeway section heading towards I-95. The 8-mile or so detour to get to work, back-tracking to Kirkwood Highway, around route 7, and back up Churchmans road - well traffic there too.

In fact - traffic in general is evil.
