So, as my 6-year old laptop which I've had since the start of college is on its last legs, I recently purchased a Sony VAIO CS110E/R from Best Buy as my next laptop. Already I can see that Vista appears to be one huge scam by the money guzzler that is Microsoft. The computer did not come with a Vista operating CD, so if the hard drive ever crashed or got infected with a really malicious virus - or at least one I can't get rid of, like I have on my current pc, then there would be no way to reinitialize and reinstall everything other than going out and buying Vista separately. Arr......
There is 'supposed' to be a feature on Vista called 'Complete PC Backup' - but it's not available in Vista Home edition, which is what this computer has. In order to get this feature on the pc you have to have Vista Business or Vista Ultimate.
Gotta love Microsoft.
